Telecom Tour Stop Offered Exclusive Networking, Education and Fun
SCOTTSDALE, Ariz.–June 9, 2014–Master agency PlanetOne Communications continued its mission of supporting expansion and growth for its sales partners with the latest stop on the 2014 Telecom Tour, held June 2-3 at Foxwoods Resort & Casino in Connecticut.
The company’s latest East Coast stop showcased top-level education on cloud services, new areas of opportunity and drivers for business growth. It also delivered unparalleled networking that kicked off Monday night with an evening reception at Foxwoods’ High Rollers bowling lanes–giving partners the opportunity to mix and socialize with top vendor executives. Everyone’s competitive spirit certainly made for a fun night.
“I love attending Planet One events because it allows me the opportunity to stop what I am doing in my daily grind to think about how to grow the business,” said PlanetOne partner Greg Howard of US Telecom Group. “The event also allows me to create a personal bond between myself and the channel managers who are working my quotes daily. Hearing from different providers allows me to figure out how to add value to my clients and attract new ones.”
He added, “I have to say that even though the events are a blast, it also shows me how serious PlanetOne takes investing in their partners to give them the tools they need to succeed.”
“Our goal with every Tour stop is to offer our partners relevant education and useful tools to grow their business,” said Lauren Shapiro, president at PlanetOne. “This year, we’ve identified an unprecedented opportunity for partners to tap new revenue streams with the cloud and earn more of their customers’ overall telecom and IT spend while extending their customer life cycle. We’re bringing our suppliers into the mix to speak directly to agents about how they can make the most of what’s happening in the market right now–through education but also one-on-one conversations at our networking events. The key to success is that they develop and execute strategies with the suppliers and this is the perfect forum for those discussions.”
Along with the technology and business agenda, signature PlanetOne fun was of course on the docket. Late spring in New England is a beautiful season in the region, and partners were given the opportunity to fully enjoy it with a golf outing at Lake of the Isles. The Rees Jones-designed layout has made it one of the top 25 golf courses in the United States. The afternoon play was followed by a reception and networking event at the golf club.
“We look forward every year to visiting our partners where they live and work, all over the country,” said Ted Schuman, founder and CEO of PlanetOne. “We are focused on treating partners like VIPs, and that means giving them quality education and time with vendors that they won’t get elsewhere, but also five-star relaxation and fun. Supporting partners in the best ways that we can–that’s the core part of our business.”
The Telecom Tour will next pull into New Orleans for the Cloud Partners event, on September 8-10.
