For nearly two decades, TECvine founder Allen Wills has focused his energy on bringing telecom and networking solutions to market. He began his career with former broadband services provider, Winstar, later joining telecom giant MCI Worldcom. Prior to venturing out on his own in 2013, Allen spent 12 years as partner and vice president of Business Development for Scottsdale, Ariz. headquartered ProVision Networks.
It was during his tenure at ProVision that Allen first became acquainted with PlanetOne. “What impressed me most about PlanetOne was their connections with key leadership contacts at the carrier level and a solid list of providers” says Allen. “For more than a decade, they have provided me with a single source for meeting a wide range of customer needs, whether it be telecom, networking, cloud or new carrier relationships not yet household names in the industry.”
When Allen founded TECvine and began establishing himself as an independent telecom visionary the team at PlanetOne was there to support him every step of the way. “I don’t know what I would have done if PlanetOne hadn’t had my back,” says Allen. “Going from working with a team of more than a dozen individuals to a sole proprietorship was a huge step for me, and PlanetOne provided me with the back-office support, advice and more importantly the validation that I was making the right decision.”
Among the things that Allen has come to value most from the alliance between TECvine and PlanetOne is the collaboration and teamwork. “While I am out in the field developing relationships and designing solutions, PlanetOne is there to help me complete the required paperwork and cut through some of the inevitable red tape that occurs when my customers need immediate support from vendors and providers,” says Allen.
Allen also believes that PlanetOne has been instrumental in helping him grow TECvine’s year-over-year revenue, which he expects will triple in 2015. “Ted, Lauren and Jonathan have been great sounding boards for me, offering advice on how to build my business, while serving as an advocate and providing me with access to the core leadership teams within PlanetOne’s vendor and provider portfolio – something I definitely wouldn’t have been able to get on my own.”
“Allen has a stellar reputation within our industry, and has done an amazing job of embracing the changes that are being driven by the convergence of traditional IT and telecom,” says Jonathan Hartman, vice president of sales, PlanetOne. “One of the ways he is achieving this is by leveraging his relationship with PlanetOne to design and procure solutions for his customers that bring together the latest in cloud, connectivity, voice, mobility and collaboration, to solve their unique business challenges.”
Lauren Shapiro, president, PlanetOne adds, “Our number one goal is to help partners like TECvine eliminate their customers’ pain points – which most often involves connecting them with the right vendor or provider contacts to get immediate resolution of any issues that may arise – so that they can instead focus on building relationships, designing solutions and driving revenues. We are happy to be able to do this for Allen and his customers, and are thrilled to be playing an important role in both his past and his future success.”
In conclusion, Allen says, “When it comes to selecting a business partner, I would recommend PlanetOne any day of the week. They do what they say they are going to do, and that is more than good enough for me.”
